REDWING (Red Wing) - Classic Moc In 1952, Red Wing first introduced and released a white, flat-bottomed, highly cushioned traction tread sole for men's boots for work and hunting. 8 inch length boots #877. The boots were a huge success upon release, and over the years many variations have been added. 6 inch length #875 is one of them. Easy to wear thanks to moccasin-type toes (mock toe). Traction tread sole makes it easy to walk in any location and reduces fatigue even when worn for long periods of time. Furthermore, due to the functionality and durability brought about by high-quality leather and robust construction, #875, along with #877, gained tremendous support among workers and became America's representative work boot. Approximately 65 years later, it continues to be loved as a representative boot of Red Wing. The Ororaset leather used in #875 originally had an orange-brown color, but in the 1990s it gradually became more reddish. After that, when it was decided to return to the original color in the American market, I realized that it was popular in the Japanese market.
A different leather called Orola Set Portage was made with a strong reddish color and was adopted in a different product number to maintain it in the Japanese market, and in 1996, #8875, a variation of #875, was born. Since then, #8875 has always been one of the top sellers as Red Wing's representative boots in the Japanese market.
