It uses an MS stereo system that combines a super-directional shotgun microphone (Mid) that picks up the center sound and a bidirectional microphone (Side) that picks up the left and right sounds.
By adjusting the input level of the side microphone, you can freely change the stereo width.
If you have a recorder "H5"/"H6"/"F4"/"F8"/"F8n" that supports MS-RAW mode recording, you can also adjust the stereo width after recording.
You can use the shotgun mic to target specific sounds, and later mix in ambient sounds picked up by the side mic if needed.
