This is a 256KB FRAM card for SHARP's pocket computer PC-E500 series. Unlike conventional RAM cards, data can now be retained without a backup battery, so there is no need to worry about data loss due to battery exhaustion. (It may disappear due to a runaway program, etc.) How to use it is the same as a conventional RAM card. If you install this card in the RAM card slot, you will be able to use 256KB of space as S2: in addition to the built-in memory of the main unit. S2: can be used as RAM file F: or program data area. Data recorded on the FRAM card is retained even if it is removed from the main unit. Unlike traditional RAM cards, it is equipped with non-volatile memory and does not require a backup battery. If you have data that you don't want to erase, you can use a switch to protect it from writing. Even if the main unit is modified to 256KB, there is no problem in using the FRAM card.
