B5 250 sheets [Hosho paper] One of the most basic washi papers, a general term for pure white, sturdy and thick washi paper. This paper was originally used by the shogunate for official documents, and was named ``Housho'' because it meant a written order. Nowadays, it is mainly used for official documents and ceremonial occasions as a paper to convey important requirements. It also remains part of the culture in rituals and other situations, and is used in Shinto rituals such as ceremonial words. The smooth side of the paper is the front side, and the rough side is the back side. Basically, we print on a smooth, smooth surface, but if you want to emphasize texture, you can also print on a rough surface on the back. There is no question of which is official and which is wrong, so please use whichever you prefer.
