In the spring of 2010, ``Yanagihagyo'' was formed in the light music club of the design department of Kawasaki General Science High School in Kanagawa Prefecture.
In the spring of 2012, she applied to TEENS ROCK IN HITACHINAKA 2012 to test her skills, and won the Excellence Award and Best Vocal Award. Changed the name to "SHISHAMO". The trial CD ``Homework Doesn't End'', released in October, achieved the feat of ranking 7th on the Oricon Indies Chart, despite being the first sound source. MUSICA's Atsushi Shikano, who heard the sound source, responded on Twitter, saying, ``I've found a great unknown high school band. Shishamo, thank you for your support.'' After that, they were selected as a personality on Nippon Broadcasting's ``SHISHAMO's All Night Nippon R'', and the news caused a stir on the Internet, and was featured on Yahoo! On January 23, 2013, they released the CD ``Graduation Production'', which is a compilation of their high school life, and in March, they held their first band tour to 11 locations nationwide under the title ``Graduation Trip.'' The final free live in her hometown of Kawasaki ended with great success, and she successfully graduated from high school.

In the spring of 2013, after graduating from high school, he began his band activities in earnest. He has appeared in many circuit events in the spring, and has also appeared at "RUSH BALL R" in June at Jono Oto in Osaka, "Tokimeki Jamboree" at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall in August, and other Yaon events in the East and West. In August, we held our first independently planned event at Shibuya WWW. In addition, he has appeared at many circuit events and large-scale events around the country, attracting attention, and the number of views of the MV for "Boku ni Kanojo ga Gota Deta", which was uploaded to YouTube at the end of August, continues to increase even now, more than a year later. It has been played over 3 million times.
On November 13, 2013, their debut album "SHISHAMO" (containing 11 songs) was released. The first one-man live held at Shibuya WWW on Friday, December 6th was SOLD OUT!!! At the end of that year, they performed at large festivals held in Tokyo and Osaka.

They performed at a number of summer festivals, making them the largest number of summer festival appearances among female rock bands.
On September 11, 2014, they announced a bass change in "about SHISHAMO Important Announcements". Aya Matsuoka newly joined as bassist and released the single "Mass Production Type Boyfriend".
The second national tour of the year was held in October and November. [SHISHAMO One-Man Tour 2014 Autumn "Sunday Date Plan for You, Kimi's Boyfriend and the Girlfriend Who Transferred School"] toured 19 performances in 16 locations nationwide, attracting 13,000 people.
At the end of this year, they performed at the Tokyo Meihan Fuku winter festival event, and admission restrictions were imposed one after another, showing the current strength of SHISHAMO.
On January 12, 2015, Asako Miyazaki and Misaki Yoshikawa will celebrate their coming-of-age ceremony.
