Content introduction
The general form of the ``symphony'' was established during the classical era, but signs of new development began to emerge in the ``Ninth'' when Beethoven introduced a chorus in the final movement. During the Romantic era, the clear forms that had existed up until then began to further develop and transform. However, Schubert's famous ``Unfinished'' is not a complete ``two-movement'' to destroy the form, but simply because he stopped composing midway through, but Mendelssohn wrote magnificent works reminiscent of later Mahler, such as incorporating large-scale vocal music into his second symphony. Berlioz gave titles to his symphonies, creating a world that surpassed Beethoven's ``pastoral'' and ushered in title music. The various symphonies included in this album make it possible to closely observe the development of such a single form.
