REDWING Classic Work/Moc-Toe One of America's leading shoes, Red Wing's Classic Work 6" Moc-toe. Its roots are in the 1950s, when it was released as a hunting boot, the "Irish Setter" (#877-1952, #875-1954). An innovative combination of a highly cushioned, white, flat sole with a traditional hunting boot, these boots became popular not only among hunters but also among workers across the United States. The high-quality leather upper that firmly holds the feet and the comfort provided by the cushioned sole have pleasantly surprised many workers. Workers on construction sites especially loved these boots, as their snag-free, flat soles increased safety when walking on dangerous high beams. The name ``Irish Setter'' has since changed to ``Classic Work,'' but even 60 years after its creation, these boots continue to be made in the Red Wing factory in the United States.
